Abstract
Three known phenylethanoid glycosides, forsythoside B, alyssonoside an d leucosceptoside B, and a known iridoid glycoside, lamiide, were isol ated from the methanol extract of the aerial parts of Phlomis pungens WILLD. var. pungens (Labiatae) along with one new phyenylethanoid glyc oside, (4-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl (5-O-syringyl-beta-D-apiofuranosyl)-(1 - -> 2)-beta-D-glucopyranoside, termed hattushoside.
