Abstract
An asymptotic expansion is constructed for the distribution of tempera ture in the melt film on the transverse coordinate. The distance from the rotation center is determined, at which the formation of the linin g slag layer begins (a layer of solidified mineral matter of a melt). Recommendations are formulated for the choice of the characteristic si ze of an atomizing disk to provide for effective fiber formation durin g film separation from the disk edge.
