St. Surzhikov, MACROSTATISTICAL MODEL DESCRIBING HEAT-TRANSFER BY RADIATION WITH DUEREGARD FOR THE VIBRATIONAL-BAND SPECTRUM - FORMULATION OF THE MODEL, High temperature, 36(2), 1998, pp. 269-274
A macrostatistical model of molecular spectrum of vibrational bands is
derived, which is intended for calculation of the spectrum-averaged r
adiation characteristics. According to this model, every vibrational b
and is treated as an isolated absorption line in a spectral range. The
line profile is described using the approximating dependences of Edwa
rds. The mean transmission in a spectral range is found with the aid o
f the statistical principle of multiplication of transmissions, in acc
ordance with which the mean transmission of a spectral range is equal
to the product of transmissions in individual lines that penetrated th
is range. The macrostatistical model is very economical, because it en
ables one to find the averaged radiation characteristics without resor
ting to line-by-line integration or to some group models. The calculat
ion is performed for a single spectral range. The Curtis-Godson method
is used to calculate radiation transfer in nonuniform volumes.
