Abstract
A case of adult rhabdomyoma, a rare muscle-derived tumor, is described in a 40-year-old man. The tumor was located in close proximity to the thyroid gland and was initially misinterpreted as an adenoma of the g land. The most important differential diagnoses are discussed includin g methods available for differentiating those from rhabdomyoma.
