Abstract
Arbitrary spin free massless fermionic fields corresponding to mixed s ymmetry representations of the SO(d-1) compact group and propagating i n even d-dimensional anti-de Sitter spacetime are investigated. Free w ave equations of motion, subsidiary conditions and the corresponding g auge transformations for such fields are proposed. The lowest eigenval ues of the energy operator for the massless fields and the gauge param eter fields are derived. The results are formulated in SO(d-1,2) covar iant form as well as in terms of intrinsic coordinates. (C) 1998 Elsev ier Science B.V.
