Abstract
Naphthalenide reduction of [Mn(CNC6H3Me2-2,6)(5)Cl] forms solutions of trigonal-bipyramidal [Mn(CNC6H3Me2-2,6)(5)](-), as established by an X-ray diffraction study of a [K(18-C-6)(dme)](+) salt and derivatizati on with SnClPh3 to give [Mn(CNC6H3Me2-2,6)(5)(SnPh3)].
