Abstract
Charge-density waves (CDWs) on a cleaved surface of 2H-NbSe2 have been observed at 4.3 K with a home-built low temperature scanning tunnelin g microscope(STM). The STM images revealed well-resolved atomic modula tion, CDW modulation, and combined periodic lattice distortion resulti ng from the CDW.
