Abstract
The generation and transmission process of transmitted sound signals ( TSS) is analyzed and a mathematical model of TSS is established in thi s paper. The power cepstral characteristics of TSS are studied based o n the mathematical model and a new analysis method of acoustic transmi ssion of respiratory system using homomorphic processing technique is proposed. The experimental results show that the normal respiratory sy stem has only one formant, while the abnormal respiratory system prese nting lung consolidation has two formants and the second formant plays important role in that system, This new method is a simple and effect ive one.
