Abstract
A new generation solar neutrino experiment, HELLAZ, has been proposed and is currently under development. The experiment is dedicated to mea sure the spectrum of neutrinos originating in the sun. In a first runn ing period we will concentrate on neutrinos from pp and Be-7 weak inte ractions. Hellaz is a real-time experiment measuring the neutrino ener gy in elastic neutrino-electron scattering reactions. The target consi sts of cooled helium contained in a 2000 m(3) TPC.
