We are building a long baseline neutrino oscillation experiment utiliz
ing <(nu)over bar>(e) from the Pale Verde Nuclear Generating Station n
ear Phoenix, Arizona. Once completed this experiment should reach sens
itivities of Delta m(2) similar or equal to 1.5 x 10(-3) eV(2) and sin
(2) 2 theta similar or equal to 0.1 exploring mass differences about o
ne order of magnitude smaller that the current limits. Our range of se
nsitivity will allow us to conclusively ascertain whether the atmosphe
ric neutrino anomaly is caused by the nu(e) - nu(x) oscillations. We r
eport on the status of the construction describing the main experiment
al challenges of the project.
