Abstract
(Trimethylsilylmethyl)gold(I) complexes [{Au(CH2SiMe3)}(2)-(mu-P-P)] ( P-P = dppm or dppe) reacted with silver derivatives (AgOClO3 or AgOSO2 CF3) affording trinuclear [Au2Ag(CH2SiMe3)(2)(mu-P-P)A] (A = OClO3 or OSO2CF3) or pentanuclear [Au4Ag(CH2SiMe3)(4)(mu-dppm)(2)]SO3CF3 comple xes; the cation of the latter consists of a novel Au,Ag core with four Ag-I-Au-I non-supported bonds.
