Abstract
We express Boltzmann's kinetic equation in the form of the recently pr oposed General Equation for the Non-Equilibrium Reversible-Irreversibl e Coupling (GENERIC). This GENERIC formulation demonstrates that no di ssipative potential is required for representing Boltzmann's kinetic e quation in a general framework for non-equilibrium systems.
