A 12-year-old girl with severely decompensated abdominal Wilson diseas
e was treated with abdominal dialysis in order to accelerate the excre
tion of chelated copper. Dialysate without human serum albumin or D-pe
nicillamine was used and was able to accelerate the excretion of chela
ted copper, with an increment of 5.5-19.7% compared with urinary excre
tion only.
