Oo. Parenago et al., ROLE OF THE CRYSTALLINE-STRUCTURE IN THE FORMATION OF LEWIS-ACID SITES AT THE SURFACE OF GALLIUM OXIDE, Kinetics and catalysis, 39(2), 1998, pp. 268-273
Electron-acceptor properties of alpha-, beta-, gamma-, and delta-Ga2O3
are studied by ESR spectroscopy of paramagnetic anthraquinone complex
es. It is shown that the formation of Lewis acid sites on the dehydrox
ylated surface of these oxides is governed by peculiarities of their c
rystalline structure and is determined by the existence of Ga3+ cation
s in tetrahedral positions.
