Rs. Dodder et al., IDENTICAL AND SHIFTED IDENTICAL BANDS, Nuovo cimento della Società Italiana di Fisica. A. Nuclei, particles and fields, 110(9-10), 1997, pp. 949-954
Spontaneous fission of Cm-252 was studied with 72 large Compton suppre
ssed Ge detectors in Gammasphere. New isotopes Sm-160 and Gd-162 were
identified. Through X-ray-gamma and gamma-gamma-gamma coincidence meas
urements, level energies were established to spins 14(+) to 20(+) in N
d-152,154,156(60)92,94,96, Sm-156,158,160(62)94,96,98, and Gd-160,162,
(64)96,98. These nuclei exhibit a remarkable variety of identical band
s and bands where the energies and moments of inertia are shifted by t
he same constant amounts for every spin state from 2(+) to 12(+) for v
arious combinations of nuclei differing by 2n, 4n, 2p, 4p and alpha.
