Abstract
The piezoelectric coupling constant ((K) over bar) of CdS was determin ed by fitting the linewidths obtained by using a many-body theory of c yclotron resonance linewidths on the experimental data of Kobori's gro up. The value obtained by best fitting is (K) over bar(2) = 2.6 x 10(- 2) eV, which is similar to the one ((K) over bar(2) = 2.98005 x 10(-2) eV) calculated by the generally accepted theoretical model.
