Abstract
The effect of the inoculation of grasses (timothy, cock's-foot grass, and meadow fescue) with two-component cultures composed of Bacillus po lymyxa and different strains of the genus Pseudomonas was studied. It was found that inoculation affected nitrogen fixation, denitrification , and heterotrophic nitrification in the rhizosphere; the effect depen ded on the composition of the mixed cultures used.
