Abstract
New types of quantum dots, quantum rings, being carbon ring fragments on the open ends of dielectric BN nanotubes, or between BN nanotubes a re considered, Electron spectra of some of them are computed by the Hu ckel method, using Bloch cycle conditions for zigzag nanotubes.
