Abstract
An analysis of polarized Raman scattering in semiconducting CdF2:In cr ystals testifies to the cubic (or weakly distorted cubic) symmetry of the deep In center. This is the first direct observation of the totall y symmetric (or nearly totally symmetric) relaxation accompanying the formation of an DX-like center. (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
