Abstract
Reaction of several silylated acetals with hexamethyldisilathiane (HMD ST) in the presence of CoCl2 . 6H(2)O affords a simple, novel and gene ral entry to thioformylsilanes, directly trapped in situ as their Diel s-Alder cycloadducts.
