Abstract
The spectrum of iodine was photographed in the 100-260 Angstrom region on a variety of spectrographs with a triggered spark source. The ener gy-level structure of the 4d(8), 4d(7)(5p + 4f), and 4p(5)4d(9) config urations of I x was investigated. All nine levels of the 4d(8) ground configuration and 130 of 328 levels of three odd configurations have b een established. Three hundred lines were classified. Hartree-Fock and least-square-fitted parametric calculations were carried out to inter pret the observed spectrum. (C) 1997 Optical Society of America.
