Abstract
In this paper a new axiomatization of the alpha-egalitarian solutions is proposed. The axioms are Weak Pareto Optimality, Homogeneity and Tr anslation Invariance, Kuratowski Continuity, and Disagreement Point Co ncavity. In this axiomatization, Individual Rationality need not be as sumed explicitly. Kuratowski Continuity cannot be replaced by Hausdorf f Continuity even if Individual Rationality is assumed.
