Abstract
This paper discusses a manuscript by Otvos (1995). The original paper attempts to draw parallels between Mississippi-Alabama Neogene units a nd those of north Florida, despite significant differences in depositi onal setting and style. The original paper additionally presents some arguments regarding sea-level history and terrace origins which we con sider to be tenuous. We present here various lines of evidence which w ere not considered in the paper and which led to quite different inter pretations of the sedimentologic history of north Florida.
