Abstract
Secondary metabolites released by plants have often a biological activ ity. They constitute one of the way to discover new medicines. The use of bioassays, like the tubuline assay, allows the isolation of substa nces acting on the mitotic spindle (flavones, chalcones, rhazinilam). The observation of the structure of the isolated compounds allows also chemotaxonomic comparisons.
