SOME HYDRODYNAMIC ASPECTS OF CIRCULATING FLUIDIZED-BEDS

Local and average pressure drop and solids hold-up are measured in a c irculating fluidised bed over a wide range in gas velocity, solids flo w rate and particle characteristics. The data obtained in the present study are critically analysed and predictive correlations are presente d for variation of pressure drop along the riser and for inflection po int. The present data as well as those reported in literature are sati sfactorily compared with the proposed equations.
