Since the neurological d eficits had progressed over a period of 4 months involving a worsening of the general condition the cat had to be euthanised. The post morte m examination showed leucodystrophy of the spinal cord and degeneratio n of the ventral horn cells in the lumbar segments. The pathogenesis w as not stated, but storage diseases were ruled out.
