Bj. Ling et al., CHARACTERIZATION OF NEODYMIUM BISPHTHALOCYANINE LANGMUIR-BLODGETT-FILMS FOR GAS-SENSIBILITY, Sensors and actuators. B, Chemical, 46(1), 1998, pp. 24-29
The deposition of Langmuir-Blodgett film of neodymium bisphthalocyanin
e derivatives is reported for the first time. Optical absorption data
reveal that these films call be deposited in a reproducible manner; re
sults are also presented showing the extreme sensitivity and selectivi
ty of their electrical conductivity to NH3 in room temperature. The Nd
bisphthalocyanine LB film is a sensitive, reproducible. rapid and sta
ble gas sensor. Neodymium bisphthalocyanine derivatives will be candid
ates for thin film gas-sensitive materials. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science
