Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine whether paraspinal and othe r major proximal and distal muscle spontaneous activity (SA) is relate d to cervical radiculopathy (CR) symptom duration. A multivariate anal ysis of 124 (retrospectively identified) electrodiagnostically confirm ed CRs was used to test these hypotheses. The results showed no eviden ce of correlation between SA and symptom duration for any of the upper limb muscles analyzed. (C) 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
