Abstract
The ability to rapidly acquire synchronized phasor measurements from a round the system open up ne ct possibilities for power system operatio n and control. A novel neuro-fuzzy network, Fuzzy Hyperrectangular Com posite Neural Network, is proposed for voltage security monitoring (VS M) using synchronized phasor measurements as input patterns. This pape r demonstrates how neuro-fuzzy networks can be constructed off-line an d then utilized on-line for monitoring voltage security. The neuro-fuz zy network is tested on 3000 simulated datas from randomly generated o perating conditions on the IEEE 30-bus system to indicate its high cla ssification rate for voltage security monitoring.
