Abstract
A generalized Newton-Sabatier inversion method which permits extractio n from scattering data of central and spin-orbit potentials is present ed. The inversion method originally developed by Sabatier and further elaborated by Hooshyar and Richardson, has been reformulated to lead t o physically reasonable solutions and to allow for its numerical imple mentation. Numerical problems due to the occurrence of singularities i n the transformation kernel are discussed and a successful application using schematic scattering data is reported.
