Abstract
Recent cladistic analyses based on both morphology and nucleotide sequ ence data have demonstrated that Archeria Hook. f. is an isolated and relatively basal taxon within Epacridaceae. It is here assigned to a n ew monotypic tribe, Archerieae Crayn & Quinn, trib. nov.
