Abstract
The acuariid nematode Dispharynx nasuta was found in a princess parrot , Polytclis alexandrae, at the National Aviary in Pittsburgh (Pennsylv ania, USA). This is the first report of D. nasuta from the host order Psittaciformes, and was the presumed cause of death in this parrot.
