Two-photon-resonance four-wave mixing (TPR-FWM) spectroscopy was exami
ned for the study of the permanent electric dipole moments of molecula
r states. A TPR-FWM process of the type omega(4) = omega(1) -omega(2)
+ omega(3) in a three-state dipolar system was considered. The extract
ion of data for the difference in permanent dipole moments (Ap) of sta
tes involved in TPR was analysed in the case of resonance TPR-FWM, Res
onance TPR-FWM measurements were performed in a solution of the polydi
