Abstract
Oxidation of cyclooctatetraene with excess dimethyldioxirane gives two previously unknown tetraepoxides. The structures of the tetraepoxides were established using X-ray crystallography. The reaction also gives a number of di-and triepoxides. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All ri ghts reserved.
