Abstract
Hydrogenation of water-insoluble aldehydes can be achieved in high yie lds in a genuine two-phase system by using a recoverable catalytic sys tem composed of a water-soluble ruthenium/triphenylphosphine trisulfon ate complex and a suitable chemically modified beta-cyclodextrin.
