Abstract
A simple and efficient one-pot method was developed to give alpha-amin onitriles from aldehydes + amines + TMSCN in LPDE. Optically active al pha-aminonitriles were snythesized by using (S)-(-)- or (R)- (+) alpha -methylbenzylamine, (S)-(-) alpha-methylbenzylamine affords predominan tly S-aminonitriles and (R)- (+) alpha-methylbenzylamine leads to the R-aminonitriles.
