THE POA-GLAUCA GROUP IN THE WESTERN CARPATHIANS .1. POA-MARGILICOLA SP NOVA

Authors provide the description of Poa margilicola BERNATOVA, et MAJOV SKY, a new and apparently endemic species from the Velka Fatra Mts whi ch can be distinguished from closely related taxa within the Poa glauc a group not only by phenotypic differences such as longer ligule of th e uppermost leaf ranging from (1.6 -) 1.9 to 3.7 (- 3.8) mm, regular a ppearance of ligule on each cauline leaf and almost glabrous rhachilla e, but also by cytotype (2n = 28) and by its habitat showing close ass ociations with marry bedrock.
