Abstract
FYTOPACK is a system of programs which facilitates the processing of p hytosociological releves into phytosociological tables. The system con sists of six programs: CHECK, FUSE, SYNON, FYT, SYNOP, and FULLNAME. T he main functions of these programs are: 1 - to check input data (rele ves, tables), 2 - to fuse releves or tables into more complex tables, 3 - standardisation of taxonomic nomenclature, 4 - rearrangement of ta xa and releves in tables and establishing the constancy for individual taxa and the sums of taxa in releves, and 5 - to create synoptic tabl es.
