As. Carretero et al., AN INNOVATIVE WAY OF OBTAINING ROOM-TEMPERATURE PHOSPHORESCENCE SIGNALS IN SOLUTION, Analytica chimica acta, 361(3), 1998, pp. 217-222
This manuscript presents an innovative way of obtaining room temperatu
re phosphorescence (RTP) in solution. For the first time, the RTP of n
aphthalene derivatives have been observed in solution without using an
y kind of organized media. The RTP signals are a consequence of interm
olecular protection when analytes are exclusively in the presence of a
heavy atom salt and sodium sulfite is employed as an oxygen scavenger
to minimize RTP quenching. A rigorous study of numerous experimental
and instrumental variables has been carried out. (C) 1998 Elsevier Sci
