Abstract
This paper analyzes the amplitude and phase spectra of signals taken f rom the outputs of the elements of a sandwich detector with transparen cies deposited on them. It shows that the amplitude and phase differen ces of the signals formed when the images of objects move over the tra nsparencies make it possible to more accurately determine the size of the observed objects, the distribution of temperature gradients, and t he other characteristics of an observed scene.
