Vv. Zhiromskii, METHODS OF MEASURING THE ABSORPTION-COEFFICIENT OF A SUBSTANCE ADSORBED BY A LIGHT-SCATTERING MEDIUM, Journal of optical technology, 65(4), 1998, pp. 315-319
Two methods (by reflection and transmission) of measuring the absorpti
on coefficient of a substance adsorbed by analytical chromatography pa
pers, silica gel layers, and nitrocellulose film have been developed a
nd put into practice in scientific research. The indicated methods of
measuring the absorption coefficient of substances separated on paper
and thin-film chromatograms have been experimentally checked on a test
sample created for a two-wave scanning chromatogram analyzer in the s
pectral range 250-800 nm. (C) 1998 The Optical Society of America.
