THE COMEBACK OF JASPERS AND HUSSERL IN CO NTEMPORANEOUS PSYCHIATRY A REVIEW OF THE INTERNATIONAL LITERATURE

International vistas on philosophical psychiatry are reviewed, showing an astonishing come-back to Jaspers and Husserl. The authors, after s ummarizing the debate and its interests, show the continuing relevance for psychopathology of the continental phenomenology in the fields of diagnosis, classification, psychotherapy and neurosciences. This meth od, based on intuition and Husserlian reduction, does not-provide a sy stem to apply but rather suggests a change in the attitude of the psyc hiatrist himself.
