Abstract
A rigorous coupled-wave analysis (RCWA) algorithm useful for studying radiation and scattering from three-dimensional (3-D) inhomogeneous ob jects is developed. A spherical electromagnetic (EM) state variable (S V) form of Maxwell's equations Is presented. The RCWA method is used t o numerically study EM dipole radiation within and exterior to an inho mogeneous spherical shell.
