OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this study was to determine the incidence an
d CT imaging features of intraperitoneal rhabdomyosarcoma in children.
CONCLUSION, Approximately 10% of children with rhabdomyosarcoma may h
ave intraperitoneal neoplastic involvement either at the time of diagn
osis or subsequently, On CT, intraperitoneal rhabdomyosarcomas are ass
ociated with ascites, enhancing nodules, masses, a pseudomyxoma perito
nei-like appearance, and omental caking.
