Children who commit aggressive and violent acts are seen more frequent ly in public school and general education classrooms. Despite the incr easing numbers of these students in schools, educators report that the y do not have the necessary skills to work with them. This manuscript provides teachers with basic information needed to prevent and manage aggressive children and youth, specifically information regarding stag es of crises and effective strategies for each stage and prevention st rategies designed specifically for public school classrooms.
