Abstract
An accurate and simple spectrophotometric method is proposed for the d etermination of levodopa and methyldopa. A nitrosation reaction has be en adopted. The optimum experimental conditions for the reaction were established. The nitroso derivatives obey Beer's law and their absorba nces were used for the determination of levodopa and methyldopa in dos age forms. The results have been statistically compared with those obt ained by the reference method.
