S. Ambily et Cs. Menon, DETERMINATION OF THE THERMAL-ACTIVATION ENERGY AND OPTICAL BAND-GAP OF COBALT PHTHALOCYANINE THIN-FILMS, Materials letters, 34(3-6), 1998, pp. 124-127
Thin films of cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPc) were prepared by vacuum eva
poration of cobalt phthalocyanine powder at a pressure of 10(-5) Torr.
Silver electrodes act as ohmic contacts for electrical connections. F
ilms were annealed at 50, 100, 150 and 200 degrees C. The electrical c
onductivity studies were done in vacuum (<10(-3) Torr). The W-visible
spectra were recorded and the optical band gap determined. The variati
on of the optical band gap with annealing temperature was determined.
The effect of annealing on thermal activation energy is also reported
in this paper. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
