Abstract
Single crystals of the non-linear optical material KTiOPO4 (KTP) have been grown using KNaPO3F flux. The solubility of KTP in KNaPO3F has be en determined between 1050 degrees C and 800 degrees C. Crystals of 5 x 3 x 2 mm(3) in size were obtained by fast cooling at a rate of 120 d egrees C/day. The method indicates the possibility of growing relative ly large crystals commercially in a short time. (C) 1998 Elsevier Scie nce B.V.
