Abstract
Data from morphology and sequencing of the chloroplast gene rbcL show
that Cyphioideae (Campanulaceae) as traditionally circumscribed are no
t monophyletic. To remedy the situation, its genera are divided among
three subfamilies, one of which, Nemacladoideae, is new.
