Abstract
A novel CMOS high-speed low-noise current-mode preamplifier is propose d for large capacitive input. For a 50 pF photodiode capacitance, it i s shown that the f(2) noise level is successfully suppressed to a leve l comparable with the background-light shot noise at 20 MHz.
